Frequently asked questions
Is servicing my gas boiler compulsory?
Yes. In Brussels, a gas boiler must be serviced at least every 2 years; in Wallonia, at least every 3 years for boilers up to 100 kW. The service is done by a certified technician, who gives you a certificate.
How much does a gas boiler service cost?
From €150 excl. VAT. If a part needs replacing, you get its price before we replace it.
What does the service include?
Checks on how the boiler runs and on its safety devices, cleaning, a pressure check, a flue check and a combustion test. You then get the certificate by email.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes: the service certificate for your gas boiler is sent to you by email. Keep it, you may be asked for it during an inspection.
Tenant or landlord: who pays for the boiler service?
The tenant. In Brussels and in Wallonia, servicing and periodic checks of the boiler are the tenant's responsibility, and the tenant gives the certificate to the landlord if asked. The landlord pays to replace a worn-out or unusable boiler. In Wallonia, the lease can set how often the service is done.

When should I have it serviced?
As early as possible before winter: you can be sure everything works when you need it most.
