Oertli error codes

The most common codes for Oertli oil boilers (OEcOil Condens and others), with what they mean and what to do.

H codes are a block: the boiler tries to restart on its own (except H07.01). E codes lock it out: it needs resetting.

H07.01

Burner fault: no ignition spark or no flame. The boiler won't restart on its own.

Heating oilCheck there's still oil in the tank and that the supply valve is open. Reset the burner once: if it locks out again, don't keep trying; call us.

E01.04

The flame is lost: the boiler locks out.

H01.03

TemporaryThe boiler restarts on its own once the cause is gone. If the code keeps coming back, call us for a check.

E02.28

The flue pressure switch opened 5 times in 24 hours: the heat exchanger or burner needs checking.

Flue · safetySwitch the boiler off and air the room. This code concerns the flue: call us. If a CO alarm goes off, or anyone has a headache or nausea, get everyone outside and call 112.

E02.29
